Unfortunately, due to restoration works, the mosaics in the vault of the Baptistery are not visible.

I thought there was supposed to be some kind of guide.  Instead it was just tickets which I couldn't download easily in my phone ... i had to ask many people to figure out where to queu etc.  It would have been easier to just buy tickets at venue I suppose.

You can see the cathedral complex without a problem, but because I asked one of the employees at the entrance to the monuments. My reservation said it was for 16:30 and the cathedral closes at 15:30. So to see each thing I had to get in line according to its closing time.

The dome climb was not too croweded.  We did have to wait an hour, but when we came down we were able to stop and wait at the higher viewing balcony and contemplate the art on the dome.  A few other tourists joined us and we had a fantastic discussion about how it was created and what it would have meant to the people of that time.


It was easy to buy the tickets and it was a lovely surprise that the ticket to the Bell Tower also icluded tickets to the Baptistery and the museum. What I also loved about it is that it was possible to buy the tickets only two hours before the visit and everything went according to plan.

The short line for entrance was great but there were many portions if the audio tour which only had text and no audio.  But more importantly we expected the audio guide to take us through the venue with audio attached to the special viewing items.  

Good Morning - there was a very  very long line . Only one lady  staff member TRYING to help everyone .. POOR THING .. you need more staff ... having only one lady the tour started late.
I was also of the understanding from the web page that the tour had a guide ... but no guide ... DISAPPOINTING to be  honest .. but your ONE staff member was very polite , patient and helpful ..

Words can't express the beauty.  The color and detail of artistry was amazing.  It is incredible the way these works have been preserved.  

The exhibits are all fabulous, the sculptures are fantastic and timeless pieces of art. Magnificent and grandeur workmanship. 

El guía fue puntual para entregarnos las entradas, tuvimos que hacer solo media hora de cola y la audioguia muy buena. El unico problema es que no pudimos ver el baptisterio al día siguiente porque las entradas tenían validez del 18 al 20 y nosotras llegamos a Florencia el 20 con lo cual no pudimos usar las entradas para el día siguiente

The guide was punctual to give us the tickets, we only had to queue for half an hour and the audio guide was very good. The only problem is that we could not see the baptistery the next day because the tickets were valid from the 18th to the 20th and we arrived in Florence on the 20th so we could not use the tickets for the next day.

Breathtaking tour led by an outstanding guide. The climb of the Duomo was explained fully and clear options provided for those who wanted to climb. Highly recommend this tour.

The tour was very interesting with a lot of pertinent information. The stairs were challenging for a few people but well worth it. The only negative was the interference with the earplug speakers making it difficult to hear the guide at times.

Easy instructions to buy and pick up tickets. Helpful and interesting guide. Obviously skipping the queues is a huge bonus. 
Nothing can beat a climb up the Dome and the views from the top. 

Tour was great, our guide was pleasant and very informative. Access to the terraces was a nice addition. Dome climb was rather difficult for all in our group but more than worth it. Would recommend this tour overall.

Ticket etc was fine, the audio didn't work for some people so it was difficult for the guide 

She managed really well and was great.

Very knowledgeable tour guide.  Be we learned so  much in a short amount of time and then had as much time as we wanted to investigate on our own.

La nostra guida era davvero molto competente e ci ha spiegato molto chiaramente il contesto storico e culturale della città in tutte le fasi della costruzione. Visita piacevole e interessante. Purtroppo non avevamo il ticket per il campanile, la cupola e il Battistero. Motivo per tornare.


We visited the Florence Cathedral on Monday, October 7. Our guide was really very knowledgeable and explained very clearly the historical and cultural context of the city at all stages of construction. Pleasant and interesting visit. Unfortunately, we did not have a ticket for the bell tower, the dome and the Baptistery. Reason to return.


Guide was excellent.   Did take about 1 hour although listed as a 30 minute express.  Late for our next stop as a result.  Just be aware if you should decide to do this tour.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Large crowds, however. She should have had a flag for easy viewing. Also for a skip the line tour, we waited an awful lot.
