Quick overview: How to save time at Accademia Gallery

Home to Michelangelo’s David, the Accademia Gallery is extremely busy year-round. Without a reservation, ticket-purchase lines commonly reach 60–120 minutes at peak times, plus an additional ~15–30 minutes for security. Pre-booked entry options mainly eliminate the ticket line, not security. Timed entry is essential in high season, with early morning and late-afternoon slots offering the smoothest access.

Timed entry tickets (From €22): Timed entry to the Accademia with an optional multilingual audio guide. You bypass the ticket-purchase queue and proceed directly to security. Ideal for independent visitors who want flexibility inside.
Guided tour of the Accademia (From €32): Scheduled entry with an expert guide and headsets. Groups usually enter faster and follow a focused 60–90 minute route centered on David and Michelangelo’s sculptures.
Uffizi + Accademia timed entry with audio guide: Choose between timed entry (from €43) or add self-guided audio commentary (from €47) at both galleries. Upgrade to include Brunelleschi’s Dome (from €98), with an audio guide for each attraction.
